Unit 3

Well here goes! My physical well-being would have to be rated a 3 because I could stand to lose weight and my blood pressure gives me problems sometimes. My spiritual well-being would have to be a 3 also. I am a spiritual person deep down, I just don't use it. My psychological well-being would also be a 3. I get aggravated a lot with my work and little things that should not bug me so much. I am working on my physical well-being by eating better and getting more exercise. I have lost 18 pounds this year and plan on losing more. In my spiritual well-being I plan on either going back to church or at least setting aside some time for my religious reading. I think I will try to start some kind of meditation exercise to help me psychological well-being. I just need to find something that will hold my interest. The relaxation exercise The crime of the century, I don't think I tried hard enough or gave it a chance because it did not seem to do a thing for me. I think I will try again when I know I will be home alone without other distractions.

  1. I can relate: I have been living beneath my potential for a while due to medical and personal issues but have recently started taking steps toward recovery and wellness. I decided upon this program to (i.e., Health and Wellness) to force myself to learn and eventually become an example or risk living a lie. Thanks for sharing.

  2. congrats on the weight loss!! That is one of the hardest things in the world to accomplish! I too have been trying to lose weight to get into a dress for my daughter's wedding. It has been an up hill battle. But I will prevail!!

  3. Great job on taking small steps to reach your goals! I can totally relate to not caring for myself, it makes me feel like everything is out of control! We just have to keep reminding ourselves to keep our eyes on the prize and make our own destiny.

    Good job on losing 18lbs, that is very impressive. I have been trying to loose some of these extra pounds I have packed on in the last year and I have only managed to loose 7.5lbs. So whatever you are doing is working keep it up. Keep us posted on your progress.

  5. Great job with the weight loss, Mary! Keep up the good work until you reach your goal! The relaxation exercises were also difficult for me because it seems I never have a quiet house! I think I too will try it on a day when it's more quiet.
